We had 10 students participate in the Gracie jiu-jitsu United States nationals this weekend. They all trained really hard for several months to prepare for the event. Once again we proved steel city to be the little school that could. It was an exciting day for the students that participated, the coaches and those who came as spectators. This event featured fighters from many parts of the world so the competition was nothing less than fierce. Our team consisted of santino Achille, brad mihalyi, Willie laney, Leah Kurtz, Matt Murray, Jim kapinski, Laura freedman, Julian freedman, Michael barbano, and Craig Palombine. They collectively took home 4 gold and 3 silver medals! Also we want to send out a special thanks to Jon pfirdehirt for coaching. They all represented steel city with pride and were a shining example of what a martial artist should be!
GOLD WENT TO: SANTINO ,LEAH, JIM AND CRAIG
